The word itself speaks what it is. When you just get to the word SEO (when expanded Search Engine Optimisation), you will feel something like this “It may be Optimising a web page in a search engine like Yahoo , Google, Msn etc” If you have thought like this, yes you are some where. Lets go into this magical word of webmasters in general terms. I would like to write in deep about SEO, which you can expect in my coming posts.
SEO - means in brief, Its optimising your website or some pages of your website in Search engines. To explain more, Its a process of listing your website content, for a specific Keyword, in the first 10 results of Search Engines.
Advantage:
Most of the traffic to a content based website comes from search engines (mostly Google,Yahoo, MSN etc). Of these Search engines, Google ranks 1, and its worlds best Search engine of all available now. Now If you can drive traffic to your website or Blog for a specific “Keyword” relating to your website, You will get targeted traffic. This targeted traffic will help you to get ROI (Return Of Income).
What is a Keyword?
A keyword is a single word, which apts or relates to your website/blog to a high percentage.
Example: If your website is on a business of SMS campaigns , The most optimal keyword for your site is Bulk SMS. When you search this on google, http://www.google.co.in/search?q=Bulk+sms&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
You will find the first 10 results. These all 10 sites are optimised in google for they Keyword “Bulk SMS” and this drives them targeted traffic from customers, leading to substantial ROI
How to do SEO?
Its not very simple. But If you have enough knowledge on Web Backlinking procedure, you can do this. I will say you some simple or general steps now. I will explain more on each terms in coming posts.
1. Find a relevant Keyword for your website.
2.Write Optimised contents on your website, with appropriate keyword concentration.
3.Acquire backlinks from Directories and websites relating to you
4.Update your web contents frequently
5.Set proper Meta Tag and Title for your website
6. Drive some Proper traffic
7.Improve Page Rank
