YOU HAVE DONE IT! You proved to be the real WARRIOR in the Indian Cricket team! There’s no need to show any records, any statistics or any analytical shit to prove that you are THE PRINCE OF KOLKATA! Just last century is enough! You are the MAN! who fought like a brave warrior – Congrats brave heart!
Even after performing too much during last year the “avoidals” given to ganguly was damn cruel! Its not the way that the ever greatest Indian captain should be treated! Its not the way the worlds second highest run getter in ODI’s should be treated (Next to Sachin). Its not the right way to treat a man like SOURAV GANGULY who brought in the “FEARLESS ATTACKING” nature to Indian Cricket team!
I still remember Dileep Vengsarkar’s (Former Indian team selector) comment on avoidal of Sourav in the Srilankan series
In 2008, Dileep said, “Ganguly might have scored a few runs! but hes not needed in Indian team” Hey Idiot, aren’t you aware of the fact that SOURAV GANGULY scored 1106 Test runs at an average of 61.44 (with 3 centuries and 4 fifties) in 2007 to become the second highest rungetter in Test matches of that year after Jack Kallis. He is the 5th highest rungetter in 2007 in ODIs, where he scored 1240 runs at 44.28.
Haa! Mr.Dileep, You might not be aware, bcz you are a FOOL! otherwise you will not have made a comment like that…lol!
So that’s Sourav – THE PRINCE OF KOLKATA! or DADA or BENGAL TIGER or MAHARAJA – Every titles are apt for this FIGHTER!
He is no different on declaring his retirement also. See a fact that, players usually announce retirement after a successful series! They make sure that they retires with a good performance! But SOURAV announced days before start of Australian series that this will be “MY LAST TEST” – Later in the second test HE PROVED – Hes the real WARRIOR – by scoring a classy century against Australia – become the top run maker of the innings! Consider fact that even players like Sunil Gavaskar was not able to retire with a good performance!

1. Second highest RUN getter in ODI – over 11000 runs & next to Sachin Tendulkar
2. Second highest number of centuries (22) by an Indian in ODI & 4th in the world. 1st being Sachin with 48 centuries.
3. Highest opening wicket partnership ever recorded in the world – Sourav & Sachin – 255 runs against Srilanka – A true classy performance!
4. The BEST INDIAN captain ever made – Lead India in 49 tests – won 21+
5. He is also the only player to win 4 consecutive man of the match awards in ODIs.
& LAST but the GREATEST OF ALL RECORDS – First Indian to score an ODI century against Australia in Australia.

During 2003 worldcup, former Indian “keep“er & former selector KIRAN MORE said ” India is expected to go upto supersix levels, not any more than that!” Its Gangulys powerful mind & determination that made the Indian team to unite & to fight like a wounded tiger – remember that India even struggled to a pretty new team like HOLLAND in the start of WC from where Ganguly drove the team like a TOOFAN to the world cup finals!
Another feather to his crown is the WIN of NATWEST series – It has shown Gangulys TRUE captaincy & the ability to RULE – Its him who nurtured careers of young players like YUVRAAJ, HARBAJAN, ZAHEER,KAIF etc. He was a very supportive & aggressive captain.
He ENJOYED WINS like a roaring LION & fought back on FAILS like a Wounded TIGER! (remember his shirtless performance after WIN of NATWEST series)

In an interview to a private TV Channel on Saturday Vengsarkar said, “Though the decision to retire from cricket depends entirely on a particular individual, considering Sourav’s present form, I feel he could have played at least one more year.” DILEEP YOU PROVED TO BE THE MOST COWARD & see Gangulys response “No, this will be my last series,” Ganguly said when asked if there is any thought of reconsidering his shock announcement the Australia Test series would be his last.
You all know the stories well through newspapers, TVs & other medias! Its a debateless fact that Sourav ganguly is treated in the most dishonoured way by the selectors! Selectors could have given even a simple consideration that he has been honoured with Padmasree & Khelratna by the Govt.of India. Hey selectors, You all played a very DIRTY game with this highly talented powerful cricketer & the most beautiful LEFT HAND batsman more over the SECOND BEST batsman ever produced by INDIA!
So to END, SOURAV is retiring like a REAL PRINCE who conquered THE WORLD – The HEARTS of all CRICKET LOVERS!
